Working Hands, 2024
Fabric, Paper, and Embroidery
In remembrance of all of the helping hands that pushed me in my creative journey, Working Hands reflects on familial love through the aesthetic of callow craft and imperfection. This small body of work attempts to create imagery through the eyes of my childhood when art was not an elevated expectation but a space for unresolved, unfinished, and playful experimentation.
Currently on view at The Frank Gallery in the Voices of Experience: Invited Artists’ Works in conjunction with Imaginary Tapestries. The invited artists were presented in collaboration with Bernice Steinbaum Gallery in a previous exhibition entitled Memories of Childhood… so We’re Not the Brady Bunch.
