Artsywork Studios — Logo Design
The Artsywork Studios logo came to fruition from my client’s early sketches. The planetary-inspired logo is a symbol of the space that Artsywork Studios founder, John Mayambi, wants to create as a genre-bending music artist. I wanted to create a simple logo that was not only befitting of streetwear culture but also integrated the Impact typeface as it holds a heavily condensed format and was easy to manipulate and curve without losing legibility and form.

Jbone243 is also the founder of Artsywork Studios where all his music, clothing, including his recent projects “LOVE STORY & CALI CALL” were recorded.

Tila — Logo Design/ Branding
TILA Studios' brand empowers, uplifts, and connects. When asked to help elevate their existing identity as they expand to a new gallery space, I was more than delighted. The new M Street Gallery, located in Marietta, GA, and opening in Spring 2022, will introduce a refreshed yet familiar identity with a new logo using a modern yet established serif typeface and an earthy floral color palette to enhance brand personality.

sweetgreen X TILA — Email Invitation
TILA is an Atlanta based co-working and community space for Black Women that reached out to me to create an email invitation for the new sweetgreen location opening in Ponce City Market. Atlanta is a fun gritty city close to my heart. I let those feelings inspire the illustration and format of the design. I wanted to incorporate that feeling by using youthful expressions such as “ayyyyye” to give homage to the culture that is in Atlanta. The colors are pulled from sweetgreen’s colorful healthy salad bowls and from the work of artist Honey Pierre that was commissioned for sweetgreen’s restaurant on their opening day.

Chandelle X FATVillage / ArtsUp Concepts — Social Media Content
Chandelle was an exhibition held at ArtsUP Concepts featuring site-specific installations by Patricia Schnall Gutierrez, Khaulah Naima Nuruddin, and Amber Tutwiler. The exhibition was based on metaphorical interpretations about the social constructs of materiality and its relationship to reputation. Upon researching the dated idea of using chandeliers to symbolize wealth and status, I incorporated a black-and-white photograph into the design. Black and white photography has the power to make visuals dated and historic in relation to modern context. Since this idea is also what the artists were conveying in their work, I designed a facebook banner and instagram flyer that reflected their concepts and ideas. The typeface was an intentional clash with the photograph as sans serif fonts are typically associated with modernity.
